My CATS Experience
My obsession with cats actually only started on September 24th 2008. I would post a song-by-song list...thingy here, but all I really remember from most of the preformance was me thinking "What the hell is going on???"
You see, I didn't know anything about cats...I didn't know the story. I didn't know anything about it. I just knew that it was about... well... cats. Me writing a big long thing about how confused I was isn't going to be very interesting, so I'm skipping it. I AM however, going to post a few things that I remember from it:
- Quaxo didn't get to sing the invitation to the Jellicle ball :( Munkus did. I guess that's what normally happens in the North American shows though...
- During Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, while they were doing their double cartwheel thing, they tripped and both of them ended up on the ground. I felt really bad for them, but they picked themselves up and finished the song.
- During The Rum Tum Tugger, he jumped down into the crowed and started dancing with a woman in the first row. I was in THE THIRD ROW and he came right beside me (because I was on the aisle as well). They were dancing right beside me and after the dance was over, Tug winked at me before jumping back up on stage! *swoon*
- During intermission, a bunch of the cats started coming back on stage and were just hanging out with one another. Victoria came up to the front of the stage and began a starting contest with a woman in the front row. All of a sudden, the woman sneezed and Victoria jumped up, arched her back and ran off stage. It was soo cute, and very cat-like!
- Misto did an amazing conjuring turn! I guess he probably normally does, but I was amazed when I saw it for the first time.
- When Grizzabella began singing "Touch me!" during Memory, the woman in front of me turned to her friend and mouthed the words "wow". Wow is right! the woman playing Grizzabella was amazing!
