CATS like you've never seen it before! Well... not really... but versions that are diffrent from the movie. I love watching these, just because CATS is so diffrent every single time you see it.
CATS in Korean - Mr. Mistoffelees
I love this because of the relationship between Tugger and Misto. They really do look like friends or... dare I even say it? Lovers?
Göteborgs Opera production of Cats (Sweden) - Jellicle Ball
You'll notice right away how diffrent this one is! First of all, it takes place in an amusement park, not a junkyard. The choreography is very diffrent, sort of a more rock style then CATS is used to. For more about it, check out the real youtube page.
"Amature" production - Mr. Mistoffelees
This is my favorite production of Mistoffelees... possibly ever! I mean, this beats... London! Almost... The singing isn't amazing, but I LOVE the tricks he does! Some of them are actually rather impressive! It's way better then the point-and-stuff-shoots-out-of-a-cannon thing.
Victoria's Solo
I love this. It's obviously very low budget. Preformed in a gym with only a piano to accompany it, but it has a great vibe about it. The girl playing Victoria is amazing, and well... I love any chance I get to see a Victor ^.^
Italian - Jellicle Song For Jellicle Cats and... i don't even know...
This is the weirdest version of cats I've ever seen... I mean... it has diolouge... and... a cat with a top hat. I think it's Mistoffelees? I can't tell any of the characters apart, some of them have very little makeup on... it's just really weird all over. It's not my favorite, but it is very, very diffrent.
Piano - Mr. Mistoffelees
This counts as alternate right? I don't know. I just love this version of Mistoffelees on the piano. It's pretty ^.^
Russian - Rum Tum Tugger
I think this is my favorite non-english version of a cats song. It's so cute, the kittens are adorable. And... it's cats! On MTV! I would move to Russia just so that I could see Cats on MTV XD
London - Mr. Mistoffelees
Beautiful! There is nothing like the London version of Mistoffelees. Again, I love the relationship that's played up with Tugger and Misto. Watcho out for his skinny legs! They are almost scarily skinny lol. I have no idea who the actor is that's playing him though.
Amature Production - Jellicle Songs For Jellicle Cats
Not the most amazing cast ever, but the set is just phenomenal! The costumes are great as well, and over-all it's a very good performance.
